About the OPQ
The Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec (OPQ) includes all practicing pharmacists in Québec.
Under mandate by the Quebec government, the Ordre's mission is to protect the public by ensuring the quality of pharmaceutical care and services provided and by promoting the appropriate use of medications.
To do so, the Ordre implemented the following modes of action:
- Competency audits of pharmacists
- Continuing education for pharmacists
- Professional practice monitoring
- Complaint investigation
- Monitoring the illegal practice of the profession
- Professional support for members
- Development of the profession
- Taking official positions on issues related to the profession
